Grant Application and Rules

Applications for 2022 funding may be submitted through the application deadline of June 30, 2022 9 p.m. EST. Application submissions will be reviewed and due diligence conducted by Martin Automotive Grant Committee, after which, a slate of finalists will be presented to a group of voting members for final grant selection. Grant recipients will be notified in Summer 2022 and awards will be distributed no later than August 15th.

Guidelines - Request for Funds

  1. Martin Automotive Group will only consider applications that will promote charitable, entrepreneurial, and social justice awareness needs of the city of Nashville, TN, Dayton, OH and Louisville, KY.
  2. Our three priorities are Social Justice Awareness, Youth Entrepreneurship Initiatives and Youth in Education.
  3. The application is open only to non-profit organizations.
  4. Grant requests should be in the range of $5,000-$25,000.
  5. Only applications that directly benefit residents of Nashville, TN, Dayton, OH and Louisville, KY will be considered.

Request Rules

  1. Organizations that received a grant in 2021 are NOT eligible for a grant in 2022. Organizations must be 501(c)(3) status. 
  2. Grant applications should include a quantitative way to measure the success of the program and impact on the community.
  3. Grant awards will be unrestricted funds and may be used to meet the nonprofit's greatest need, clearly stated in the application. However, the applicant agrees to inform Martin Automotive Group immediately if there is any substantial, material change in the use of funds, with the understanding that the grant funds may be requested to be returned.
  4. The applicant agrees to submit a report on the use of funds and actual outcomes by April 15, 2023.
